About The Author
If you would have asked me to write a personal Bio several years ago, I would have done so easily, declaring that… I am a Wife, a Daughter, a Sister, and a Friend. I would have indicated that I valued my 20 years of experience in education and as a School Psychologist. Notably I would have mentioned my excitement in prompting the value of lifelong learning, and exploring how that foundation is nurtured from Pre-K through 12th grade. Perhaps I would have even listed my degrees and professional accomplishments. This would have been done to introduce and convince others that I am a “leader in my field”, someone qualified to teach or express the information in question.
Today I realize that only the creator knows me. I am continuously learning about my true identity. Currently I am trying to work out my salvation, and actively put my faith into practice. There are rare occasions when I get it right, but generally fall short daily. For we are all on a journey of discovery. Partnering with Christ to uncover ourselves, serve others, and bear fruit. On this journey, being a fellow Christian in training, I often question my own “qualifications” to impart any level of guidance. Despite my insecurities, I work toward obedience, encouraging others to “Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what He has done for my soul.” (Psalm 66:16)
About The Blog
This Blog is a testament to the Journey, an open journal of sorts. Typically, I am an introvert in nature. I am private, thoughtful (sometimes too much), and exhausted by crowds. However, intimate encounters with “The Teacher” have guided me to understand the importance of Active Living; to do as Christ said and not just read what was written.
Therefore, my testimony is my own, and documenting my walk may provide others with encouragement. At best, these pages and blogs may also assist in helping my fellow believers or others realize that this walk is a process, a journey with victories and setbacks. May these meditations and testimonies serve as a reminder that all have fallen short, but it is only those that learn to press on with Christ, and faint not, who Actively live out their gift of salvation.
About The Ministry
CiA is a growing vision of connecting brothers and sisters to a community of Action. A community blended with discipleship, fellowship, service, and accountability. A church without doors or limits, a realization of all that we can become when we actively move toward and live out the instruction of the Living Word. A vision birthed from my own need for community, and the support I crave when I am trying to dust myself off from a failure or press on in struggle.
